A prediction challenge built around an interactive map of the 50 United States. Participants predict, state by state, whether the Democratic (BLUE) or Republican (RED) candidate will carry the state, and follow how the map fills.
No. A prediction is a forecast made on this platform. It is not a vote, is not connected to any official election process and cannot influence an election.
No. 50 States is an independent platform and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to any political party, candidate, government institution or election authority.
No. It shows how this platform's participants have predicted. It is not scientific polling and does not represent the American electorate.
One prediction in one state. Every slot costs $1 USD and each purchase must contain at least 4 slots in total, which can be spread across different states.
Each state's capacity is proportional to its electoral votes for the selected election year, and the capacities add up to the challenge's total allocation.
When every slot in a state has been allocated, its prediction pool closes automatically. You can no longer enter that state, but you can take part in any state that is still OPEN.
No. FULL only means the pool has reached capacity. The state's actual election result is recorded separately, from an identified authoritative source, and is shown as RESULT VERIFIED.
Yes. Each colour is a separate line in your selections, and both count toward that state's capacity.
On the server, at $1 per slot. Any price shown in your browser is for display only; the server never trusts a price sent by a browser.
When you start checkout your slots are held for 15 minutes. If availability changes before that — or the hold expires — you are told clearly and you are not charged.
Only after the payment has been verified with the payment provider on the server. A browser redirect on its own never allocates slots.
Only when the site is approved for launch. In demo or development mode checkout is simulated, clearly labelled, and no money is charged. Real-money checkout stays disabled until legal review, prize funding and payment-provider approval are confirmed.
The refund and cancellation terms are part of the official rules. Under the proposed structure, refunded slots are returned to their pools. See the Prize & Rules page for the current text.
No. It is a proposed grand prize. It is not guaranteed, funded or available until the official rules, eligibility requirements, prize funding and all required approvals have been completed and published.
The official rules will define the draw method, who conducts it and how it is audited. No draw takes place until every closing condition has been verified.
No. A full map only closes entries. Any announcement stays locked until the closing conditions are satisfied, verification is complete and an authorised administrator records the outcome.
Levels and achievements reflect how widely you participate — for example, the number of states and regions — not how much you spend. They carry no prize advantage.
You can explore the map without one. An account with a verified email address is required to check out, so that your predictions and receipts can be kept for you.
Only the state, your prediction, the election year and the 50 States name. Cards never include payment details, order references or account information.
No. Only aggregate totals are shown publicly. Your own predictions are visible to you in your dashboard.
