How it works
A plain-language walkthrough of slots, predictions, state pools and the proposed prize process.
The map shows all 50 states. Each has a fixed number of prediction slots, set in proportion to its electoral votes for the selected election year. Open a state to see how many slots remain and how participants have predicted so far.
For each state you pick, predict whether the Republican (RED) or Democratic (BLUE) candidate will carry it. You can make predictions in as many open states as you like, and you can hold both colours in the same state.
Every slot is $1 USD. A purchase must contain at least 4 slots in total — so the minimum transaction is $4 — and those slots can be spread across different states.
Your selections stay in a cart you can edit at any time. At checkout the server recalculates the price and checks availability. Your slots are held for 15 minutes while you pay, and are only allocated once the payment has been verified.
When a state's slots are all allocated its pool closes automatically and the state shows as FULL. You can keep taking part in any state that is still OPEN. Milestones mark progress on the road to a full map.
After an election, each state's actual result is recorded from an identified authoritative source and the state shows as RESULT VERIFIED. Your dashboard then shows how your predictions compared.
State status
The state still has available slots and accepts new predictions.
All slots are allocated. New predictions are disabled. A FULL state does not have a result — filling a pool never decides an election.

The prize process
The $40,000 grand prize is a proposal. It moves through the stages below only when each one's conditions are met and recorded by an authorised administrator.

The prize is a proposal. Legal review, prize funding and payment-provider approval have not been confirmed.

The structure has been approved but the eligible entry period has not started.

Eligible entries are being accepted under the published official rules.

Every state pool is full. Entries are closed and reconciliation has started.

Payments and allocations are being reconciled and the closing conditions verified.

The draw has been conducted and recorded. The outcome is being verified.

The winner's eligibility has been verified under the official rules.

The prize has been paid and the award recorded.
A full map closes entries; it does not by itself produce a winner. Any announcement stays locked until the closing conditions are satisfied, verification is complete and an authorised administrator records the outcome.
